The International Wine Tourism Conference (IWINETC), the world’s leading and longest running event for the wine and culinary tourism industry, continues its tradition of delivering exceptional education, business, and networking opportunities.
As part of the 2025 programme, attendees will have the exclusive chance to experience the Grand Tasting of Wines of Czechia on March 26, 2025. This session, led by Klára Kollárová, will be a deep dive into Czechia’s unique wine heritage.
Klára Kollárová, a highly respected sommelier and wine educator, will guide conference delegates through a carefully curated selection of wines, sharing insights into Czechia’s winemaking traditions and terroir. Her expertise will ensure a compelling and educational tasting experience, highlighting a diverse range of varietals, terroirs and six wineries to consider when organising a wine tourism experience.

Wines Selected for the Grand Tasting
The Grand Tasting will feature eight wines from the current collection of the Wine Salon presented in four flights. Czechia’s winemaking tradition spans centuries, yet it remains one of Europe’s best-kept secrets. This Grand Tasting will showcase wines from four key sub-regions, offering attendees a diverse sensory experience:
1. Znojemská
Renowned for its crisp whites, this region excels in producing elegant Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, known for their bright acidity and mineral complexity.

2. Mikulovská
Mikulov is synonymous with Pálava, an aromatic and floral wine unique to Czechia, while Welschriesling offers a refreshing alternative with citrus and herbal notes.

3. Velkopavlovická
This region balances tradition and innovation, featuring standout Pinot Blanc expressions and unique blends like Tercie, showcasing Czechia’s creative winemaking approach.

4. Slovácká
